I have been practicing Yoga for over 20 years and teaching various styles including Hatha, Yin, gentle flows, and pregnancy yoga in Sydney for the past 17 years. Currently, my main focus is on teaching Yin Yoga classes, as life has become increasingly busy, and we all need Yin to slow down.
My teaching style and training are based on traditional Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga practices, with added flair from my years of experience. I aim to create a sense of playful fun in each class, while also providing challenges within a friendly, nurturing, and positive environment.
To further enhance my knowledge and experience in Yoga, I regularly practice, study, and read yoga articles, magazines, and books. I have also pursued additional qualifications and studies in areas such as Meditation, Mindfulness, Pranayama, and Pre & Post Natal Yoga Diploma. Additionally, I have attended numerous Yoga workshops, retreats, and recently completed levels 1, 2, and 3 of the Certificate of Yin Yoga teacher training with the IYTA (International Yoga Teachers Association).
For the past 10 years, I have served as the NSW State Rep at the IYTA (unfortunately, it is now insolvent, and my teaching membership has been transferred to Yoga Australia). In my personal life, I work full-time in the busy corporate world and have two wonderful school-aged children who keep me on my toes. Yoga serves as an excellent outlet for maintaining sanity in this hectic and stressful world we live in.
